Last weekend we celebrated the birthday of the trees. Ten students gathered together in Hillel for a lovely seder. We used the Jewish National Fund haggadah, a nice mixture of traditional Judaism and environmentalism. We discussed various issues facing our environment and things we can do in our own lives to make a difference. Throughout the seder we watched our wine glasses change from entirely white wine to red as the spring awakened and color came back to the earth.
