Learning Committee:
The Learning Committee at Brown RISD Hillel is all about bringing Jewish learning and thought to Brown. We delve into the nitty gritty issues in Judaism and both learn about what our religion says about them as well as discuss the repercussions and our thoughts on them. RISD Kehillah:
RISD Kehillah is a group of students from Rhode Island School of Design focused on bringing Jewish life to RISD, as well as offering interested students an opportunity to become involved in Jewish life on College Hill. We offer social events, religious life and fun community engagement opportunities at the Brown RISD Hillel, not to mention opening the doors to a friendly environment for RISD students to take a break from long studios! Challah for Hunger
Brown Challah for Hunger is part of the national Challah for Hunger organization that works to create hunger relief in Darfur and locally. Every week we bake all different kinds of challah and sell it to the community. J Street U Brown
J Street U Brown advocates for a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and works for peace, security and human rights for all Israelis and Palestinians. We believe that Israel's future as a Jewish democratic state is dependent on the creation of a Palestinian state. We work to keep the US government and the Jewish community at Brown committed to the goal of self- determination for Palestinians as well as Israelis.
