Student Leadership

The Student Board is responsible for formally guiding the Hillel community. Students work hard to build connections and strengthen relationships with other campus communities. At Brown students challenge one another to build a warm and nurturing community whose content is compelling and diverse. Programming is innovative and creative, reflective of the broadly varied interests and pursuits of Jewish students.

Executive Board

As the executive board of Brown RISD Hillel, we are thrilled about what is happening this year at Hillel. We and other students are planning many new exciting programs and events, as well as traditional favorites. We are also eager for students to use Hillel's resources to find new and diverse ways to explore their Jewish identities, whether that be through art, spirituality, travel, sports, music, cooking, or a myriad of other possibilities. Hillel has many opportunities to offer, and we welcome the Brown community to take advantage of them this year. We are looking forward to seeing you!

The Executive Board for 2013:

President: Chelsea Feuchs

Executive Vice President: Rachel Kaplan

Between my time practicing pikuach nefesh for Brown EMS and researching the brain, I love to talk about big picture ideas for our Hillel's community with a palatably perceptible New York accent. I also like to take long walks on the beach with the student budget ledger, pina coladas and getting caught in Providence's perpetual rain. I love Hillel and am honored to serve as our Executive Vice President as I help make our community's ideas happen and help lead us to be the best Hillel we can be! I'm always available by email, so feel free to send me one at rakaplan@brown.edu!

Vice President for Community-Wide Programming: Hannah Glickman

Hi everybody! My name is Hannah Yael Glickman and I'm a sophomore studying Conflict and Resolution! When I'm not thinking about camp or the future of the Jewish people, I like to bake, mediate and Wub*. If I was a kitchen utensil, I would be a spatula. If you're looking for me, you can find me every night at the Ivy Room; I love meeting new people, so come say hi or email me at Hannah_Glickman@brown.edu!
*be a part of Brown's first all-dubstep acapella group.

Vice President for Campus Relations: Sarah Abelman

My name is Sarah Abelman, and I am a sophomore studying Health and Human Biology. I am from Lexington, Massachusetts (yes, like Lexington and Concord...), near Boston. My favorite color is purple and my patronus would be a dolphin. When I'm not to be found in the Hillel building, I also pass the time as a member of a sorority on campus and a volunteer at a local hospital. My position is VP for Campus Relations, so I obviously love to relate to people on campus, so feel free to come meet me any time at Sarah_Abelman@brown.edu.

Vice President for Cultural Arts: Zach Ingber
