Shabbat
We often have learning opportunities after dinner Friday night or lunch-n'-learns on Saturday afternoons.
Ongoing - whenever you're free!
You can even choose what, where, and when to learn!
Are you struggling to remember what you learned in Sunday School? Are you interested in improving your Hebrew reading skills? Does something about Judaism really bug you? Now, during your college years, is the time to figure this stuff out. Rabbi Rackover is making up his schedule for the semester and is still looking for more student study partners. He currently has 3
havrutot (learning partners) and is looking for at least 3 more students to study with privately or in pairs. Sessions can be 30 minutes to an hour and on just about any topic you can imagine in just about any place on or around campus.
Paper Stuff
The Learning Committee encourages you to check out the following learning opportunities in the Hillel Lobby:
- Weekly Torah Study Pages printed out from a variety of sources on the Internet
- The Rabbi's "What the Heck is...?" Series: explanations of Jewish practices on one sheet of paper.
- The Small Questions Board: a place for more concrete questions and more concrete answers
- The Big Questions Board: an ongoing conversation on a white board. Stop by and give your input then keep an eye out as the conversation develops!
