The Annual Thomas Cohen Award for Continued Jewish Studies
Eligibility
The Thomas Cohen Award is funded by the Ruth and Arthur Fixler Restricted Family Endowment Fund at the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island. The Award will be given annually to an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled on a full-time basis at Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, University of Rhode Island, or any accredited institution of higher education in the state of Rhode Island. The award shall be used by the recipient for accredited study in one of the following areas: Jewish Communal Work Rabbinical or Cantorial Studies Study in Israel Jewish Studies on a College Campus

The recipient of this one time award of approximately $500 will be selected solely on merit. The selection committee will consider the applicant’s study proposal as well as his or her past academic performance.
