Justifi: Jewish Social Justice Trips to Thailand This Summer!
Justifi is a life-changing Social Justice program that takes Jewish college students and recent grads to Thailand to work with victims of human trafficking and child sexual exploitation. During a 2-week trip, they travel across Thailand to work with multiple start-up non-profit organizations to do meaningful projects on the ground and understand how today's innovative social entrepreneurs are tackling one of the world's most urgent issues – Human Trafficking. The Details: The trip is for Jewish students and young adults, aged 20 – 30, and costs $699 + a $350 fundraising goal for our sponsored projects. Ma'ase Olam Program in Israel
Are you interested in social justice and social change? Do you want to make a difference in Israel? Are you up for the challenge of volunteering with Israeli youth from diverse backgrounds? Ma'ase Olam runs 10-month service-learning programs for young adults from English-speaking countries who volunteer alongside Israelis. Fellows work with youth from Israel's marginalized and disadvantaged communities, creating formal and informal education programs that promote community development and personal empowerment.

Yahel Social Change Program in Israel
Are you between the ages of 21-27 and interested in pursuing a career in social work, community development, education, urban agriculture or public health? If so, then check out the Yahel Social Change Program in Israel! In 2013-14, they will bring together a select group of young adults to dive into grassroots change in Israel! The 9-month program is expanding to TWO cohorts - one in Gedera and a second in Rishon l'Tzion! Program highlights include:Living as part of the local Ethiopian-Israeli community and experiencing the community's culture, tradition, and way of life; Volunteering with grassroots organizations to learn first hand about social change and community empowerment and contributing in a sustainable manner to these efforts through direct service; Growing professionally by teaching in the local schools, working with at-risk youth, working in community gardens, and cultivating deep relationships with your peers and community members; Exploring the country and engaging with Israeli social change initiatives through meetings with social entrepreneurs and policy makers; Creating and building a vibrant community that learns and works together, forming the basis for individual and mutual growth. They are dedicated to creating a pathway for Israelis and Jews from communities worldwide to engage in the urgent issues of global poverty, marginalization and environmental devastation from a place of deep commitment to the Jewish people and its ethical and spiritual traditions. Intern/Volunteer at Reuth Medical Center (RMC) in Tel Aviv!
The RMC is a 350-bed, state-of-the-art facility, which specializes in rehabilitative medicine and chronic care. This is a wonderful opportunity for college and graduate students with an interest in the medical, psychological, social work, occupational or physical therapy fields. You will have first hand experience working with doctors and therapists as well as tending to the various needs of patients. You will gain important work experience and at the same time make a difference in the lives of patients at RMC. Come for a full or half year, or just during the winter or summer breaks. Students will be provided with housing on the hospital grounds along with 2 meals a day. All the food at the hospital is strictly kosher and all programs are conducted in accordance with Shabbat observance. No Hebrew fluency is necessary. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to explore Tel Aviv, and take an ulna course in conjunction with their work at RMC! Multicultural Eco Summer Camp
This is a unique volunteer
opportunity in the city of Mughar in Northern Israel. Volunteers will be
involved in an environmental camp for local Druze, Arab and Christian
youth, giving them a chance to learn together and play together for a
unique summer program. Student volunteers are needed to organize various
activities for the youth including: conducting workshops on ecology,
sports, and the arts, teaching English, and chaperoning field trips to
different locations around Israel. During the project, volunteers will

Livnot U'Lehibanot - To Build and Be Built
This is a community service and hiking program in Northern Israel is a fusion of hiking, volunteering, experiential seminars, identity and spirituality workshops and community in an integrated Israel experience for young Jewish adults ages 21 - 30 who wish to use some of their Israel Trip to give back to the community. The program is located in the northern town of mystical Tzfat, the center of Kabbalah. The challenging hikes (2 - 3 per week) could include a night hike to an ancient synagogue, a three day sea-to-sea hike, and an overnight desert experience. Volunteering could include: A Crusaders Fortress Park Preservation Project and excavating 16th century Tzfat buildings.
The subsidized programs cost $100/week and include accommodations and two meals per day. For more information, please view their website.

Israel Teaching Fellows
100 exemplary North American college graduates will be chosen to teach in underprivileged communities in Israel for a 10-month service program. In order to address Israel's educational inequity and the widespread underperformance of youth in low-income communities, Masa Israel Journey and Israel’s Ministry of Education have launched Israel Teaching Fellows to serve as volunteer English teachers’ aides throughout Israel.
